If I think you require specialized help that I can t provide,
I will let you know.
For more than 19 years I have worked in the field of Employee
Assistance Programs (EAP) as a Counsellor and a Clinical Manager.
Many of my clients came to me with concerns regarding marital
and relationship issues, addictions, mental health and stress
related concerns. As well, I consulted with many employees and
managers on work related matters.
Previously I worked in a chronic care hospital, The Queen Elizabeth
in Toronto Canada, providing counselling and support to patients
and their families living with serious disabilities. I became
quite familiar with the challenges and problems that these families
face. My clients included young men and women who were paraplegics,
as well as the elderly living with Alzheimer s and other debilitating
diseases.
I began my professional career working in children's mental
health at the Thistletown Regional Center in Toronto. My clients
included families with children and adolescents who were concerned
about their children s behavioural and emotional well being.
Thistletown also provided me with excellent training in the area
of family and marriage counselling.
Training and Credentials
On a more personal note
I live in Toronto Canada and have been married for over 30 years
to a wonderful woman who is my soul mate and best friend. We
have two adult daughters of whom we are very proud. I enjoy reading,
skiing, exercise, listening to jazz, traveling and spending time
with my family. Technology fascinates me, and I have found online
counselling to be a wonderful way to combine my passion helping
people, with my interest in technology.
